I have a 1984 Rabbit GTI
Two questions, is there a washer required under the big nut at the top of
the strut shaft.
Is there another washer ( smaller then the washer above) that goes at the

Turbo is cutting out when accelerating an it needs sorting while I got money

Confusing problem here.  See prior post on replacing coolant sensor.  Now,
another problem has occurred.
Car has become more and more hard to start.  Finally, refused to start.
Smelled gasoline under hood during those occassions.  Jump start finally one

Maybe Dave has an idea, engine was running fine, all of a sudden I feel
a heavy miss after hearing lifter-like tapping noise. Pulled plugs and
compression is zero in cyl # 4. What could have caused valves to stick
open? Cyls 1,2,3 are fine at 170psig. Timing belt is fine in synch ...

HI-- MY '97 JETTA HAS DEVELOPED A PROBLEM. AT NIGHT MY LOW BEAMS WILL
FLICKER, AND THEN GO COMPLETELY OUT. I THEN HAVE TO FLICK ON THE HIGH-
BEAMS UNTIL I SEE THEM REDUCE IN INTENSITY, AND THEN I CAN SWITCH BACK

My '87 Golf has been diagnosed as having R&P damage (sticks on turns
and clunks when steering wheel is turned while stationary) I have told
this is not worth fixing as it is too expensive ...Iam wondering just

In my new-to-me '95 Golf III GL (has '96 styling... sold in Canada), the
automatic door locks are somewhat unreliable.  All of the locks are
supposed to lock/unlock together when you (un)lock one of the front doors
(it's a four-door).  Instead, some of them go and some of them ...

I had a rough running problem and the car was stalling at
intersections and starting hard.
I replaced the coolant temp. sensors to no avail.
