| Temp guage fluctuating | 16 Apr 2008 23:01 GMT | 3 |
Golf 1.8 MkIII 1986. Since I've owned the car, the temp guage has risen to the centre line as the car warms, stays there, bang-on, until the engine is swtiched off and the car cools down.

My 84 rabbit is running rough. Here's the details: Idles rough, sounds like it's going to die, then kicks back and never dies. Runs rough (sputters) in each gear until you give it some gas, then it

| A3 Stall Problem | 15 Apr 2008 08:22 GMT | 4 |
Recently had some body work done on my '98 A3 Golf 2.0 following an unexpected off-road excursion on my way skiing. The car now has an issue that I haven't resolved that is draining the battery. It had been running fine up until the day I picked it up from the shop. The

Can modern direct injection diesel engines run on vegetable oil ? I read a Golf Plus brochure the other night. It indicated that the diesel engine can only run on normal diesel fuel. My old 97' Sharan TDI seems to run better with 5% to 20% SVO depending on

| '05 jetta ignition key switch | 13 Apr 2008 01:18 GMT | 4 |
ok. I am a stumped by a 2005 jetta ignition. The key will not enter the cylinder. There is a slide visible in the keyway, usually this is the switch for the "key is in the ignition" chime. The slide appears to be getting stuck. I can't imagine this is the first time this has

| VW's latest commercial | 13 Apr 2008 01:17 GMT | 8 |
I'm not even sure what model it's for. A couple walks up to a car in the showroom, and the horn starts honking. It happens again and again. How many people commute every day in rough traffic and want to return to their own frigging homes to relax, and listen to a damned HONKING ...

96 Golf has lost most of the PS fluid. Leak is easily tracable to a metal angled hose coupling. On one side a hose is clamped to this coupling but on the other side the coupling has a groove for an O-Ring and the coupling simply pressure fits into a cavity in the PS pump body. ...

| 96 cabrio help, what the part inside black styrofoam in trunk? | 10 Apr 2008 17:51 GMT | 2 |
OK, if anyone can tell me what this part is and it's function. It's located in the trunk on the right side and it's encased in black styrofoam. Looks like some kind of motor. On my daughters car, it was making a huming noise, even with car shut off. I unplugged the connector. ...

| Gas gauge | 08 Apr 2008 10:59 GMT | 5 |
Just wondering if all VW gas gauges are flaky as mine. Turn the key to "ON", the gas gauge needle slowly goes up. No matter if its full or 1/4 tank. Usually takes about 10 seconds to register the actual fuel level. All the US made vehicles I've owned, same conditions, the

| Another fuel leak | 07 Apr 2008 04:21 GMT | 7 |
Thought I had it kicked. Replaced a fuel hose recently as I could twist the old line and it turned easily. Took the VW over to Midas to check the exhaust system. Found a few pinholes, but, other than that, good to go. They also found fuel on the
