My T4 has done nearly 89K. It is a 1998 non turbo 1.9 diesel and suddenly I am finding when I go to change into 5th gear I am getting 3rd again instead. I can drive it but I have to really push the lever into the slot to get 5th. Anyone got any idea what the problem is?

In the USA, does the Passat (gas) come with a DSG transmission or does VW call it buy another name? On the VW web site, the transmission in a Passat is call "AQ Transmission". I see that Audi calls the DSG transmission "S-Tronic". How can I be sure I am getting a DSG

After driving our '08 City Jetta for a while, the air conditioning makes a vibrating groaning noise when turned off. If I have the recirc ON it doesn't do it, recirc OFF it doesn't. Doesn't seem to do it while driving down the road, only when I'm stopped.
