For the past few months sometimes when I start the car, the runs poor and

breaking news, customer gets his 2006 VW towed to shop because it will not
start! Guess what the problem is considering the engine has less than 1 qt
of oil in the pan! customer admitted he has no service records and can't
even remember when the last oil change was done! OUCH!

Testing various things to pass smog test, I discovered that the plastic tube
between the air flow sensor and the throttle body was split at the seam,
thus being a major vacuum leak. Not hot on spending $80 for new, I sealed
the old one up.

I have a 89 VW Fox, 4 speed, that suddenly wont idle. When I take my
foot off the gas the motor usually cuts off. When it runs, its very
rough. If I give it a little more gas it smooths out. What is some
