Hello NG! What is the difference between the 1980 european 1600 ccm 110 HP engine (engine code EG) and the US version. I 've been told the US version has less horsepower. Where is the difference im the engine?

My seat ibiza, which, i was told, is technically identical to VW polo, has sudden drops of RPM, about 1 sec, when the RPM goes down to 0. It happens at any speed, any RPM, shocking the car as the RPM goes up right after.

my vw polo 1.4 gasoline 2002 has regular hickups, of about 1 sec, when all power is gone and the RPM goes down to about 0. Not like when you let go of the gas, then RPM goes down gradually, in this case it's down to 0 at once, for 1 sec, and then up again to normal RMP and speed ...

So I'm having a consistent problem with my 1989 Volkswagen Golf GL. The upper head flange is cracking every 2-4 weeks. When this does happen the flange "neck" is shearing off, leaving the outer ring in the hose.
