Here's a puzzler.  I have a 2000 Beetle TDi.  Until about 2 months ago,
I averaged 40 mpg in the city.  Two months ago, my mileage dropped
progressively to 38 mpg, then 35 mpg.  A month ago the battery died.
I put the new battery in, and for the first 2 tankfuls, I am back at

2001 jetta 2.0 turbo   after initial start up the car runns real rough
for a few minutes then runs great. as normal it had codes indicating
everythin under the hood bad,  I replaced plugs and air cleaner and it
ran great for a week  then same problem.  checked codes again and all

can someone tell me when the VW fuel pump relays began having the
"priming" feature where the pump would run for a few seconds after you
turned the key on?
