Startde my mk4 golf 1.6 16v 01 up this morning and got about 10 seconds
of pure white smoke out of the exhaust which disaapeared quickly.
Very alarmed by it as it never ever does anything like this.
Any idea what could cause this ?

Hey all. Topic says it. My air pump (recently replaced) isn't coming on

reliability and in particular about even simple  repairs being a major issue

I'm changing my wishbones on my mk4 golf and te bolt torque settings are
between 30/70 nm and have mis placed the sodding torque wrench, do you
reckon if I do them up really tight on the socket it should be fine ?
Also do you need to get the tracking done after changing wishbones ...

the ARB bush is for a mk4 golf 1.6 16v 2001 engine azd.
I'm getting conflicting advce on this one so would appreciate if someone

Going to need new tyres all round soon and my mk2 Golf steel wheels
are looking a bit manky, with small bits of corrision. Is it possible
to refurbish them myself? It doesnt need to be 100% perfect as the car
is old now and worth very little.

I've got this Volkswagen Golf with a TDI engine developing 90 HP which was
made circa 1995. It's got about 155,000 miles on the speedometer. That car
burns some oil but other than that it's running just fine. I figure there's

The cost of servicing & MOTing my 1989 Golf Mk2 8v is has increased
over the years to £500-700. Time to scrap it or is it worth anything ?
